Gemini 3.8 Flash listed at $0.75/1M input, doubling in 2027
Google's Gemini API pricing page now lists Gemini 3.8 Flash at the same paid rates as Gemini 3.7 Flash: $0.75 per 1M input tokens and $3.75 per 1M output tokens, including thinking tokens. Both rates are introductory through 31 December 2026, then double to $1.50 and $7.50 from 1 January 2027. Batch and Flex tiers run at half the standard rate, Priority at roughly 1.8 times, and the same doubling applies across all of them.
What it means for a SaaS brand
Grounding with Google Search is billed separately at 5,000 free requests per month shared across all Gemini 3.x models, then $14 per 1,000 requests, so anyone monitoring how Gemini answers brand queries should budget grounded calls rather than raw tokens. If you run visibility tracking on Gemini, model the 2027 doubling into next year's costs now and move non-urgent checks to the Batch tier.
