GLM 5.2 output price cut from $16 to $12 per 1M tokens
Z.ai's GLM 5.2 has dropped its output pricing on OpenRouter from $16 to $12 per 1M tokens, a cut of a quarter. Input pricing is unchanged at $0.032 per 1M tokens. The change widens the already large gap between what the model charges to read and what it charges to write.
What it means for a SaaS brand
Cheaper output makes long-form generation on GLM 5.2 more viable, so expect more answer engines and agents to run longer, more citation-heavy responses on it. Check whether your brand's pages are retrievable and quotable for the kind of extended, multi-source answers that get cheaper to produce.
