GLM 5.2 input price cut, output price unchanged
Z.ai has reduced the input price for GLM 5.2 from $0.0224 to $0.0192 per 1M tokens, as listed on OpenRouter's models endpoint. Output pricing is unchanged at $16 per 1M tokens. The cut applies only to the input side, so the gap between reading and generating costs widens further.
What it means for a SaaS brand
Cheap input and expensive output means pipelines that feed GLM 5.2 large amounts of context get marginally cheaper, so expect more tools to pull in full pages, docs and comparison content rather than snippets. Make sure your long-form product and pricing pages are fully crawlable and self-contained, because the whole page is increasingly what gets read.
