GLM Latest output pricing nearly doubles, input drops slightly
Z.ai has repriced GLM Latest on OpenRouter. Input fell from $0.063 to $0.0496 per 1M tokens, while output rose from $6.3 to $12 per 1M tokens. The cheaper input does little to offset an output cost that has roughly doubled.
What it means for a SaaS brand
If you run GLM Latest for AI-search monitoring or content generation, your bill is now driven almost entirely by output length, so cap response lengths and batch prompts rather than trimming input context. Worth re-checking whether GLM Latest is still the right model for long-form generation versus short extraction tasks like citation checks.
