Gemini 3.8 Flash lands on the API at Gemini 3.7 Flash pricing
Google has added Gemini 3.8 Flash to the Gemini Developer API pricing page, positioned for long-horizon software engineering, autonomous agents and complex enterprise workflows. It is priced identically to Gemini 3.7 Flash on the paid standard tier, at $0.75 per 1M input tokens and $3.75 per 1M output tokens through December 31, 2026, doubling to $1.50 and $7.50 from January 1, 2027. Batch and Flex tiers run at half the standard rate, Priority runs higher, and all Gemini 3.x models share one pool of 5,000 free Google Search grounding requests per month before $14 per 1,000 requests applies.
What it means for a SaaS brand
Grounding with Google Search is billed per request and shared across all Gemini 3.x models, so anyone running answer-monitoring at scale should budget past the 5,000 free monthly requests rather than assume headroom. The announced doubling of token prices from January 1, 2027 is the real planning item: lock in your tracking volume and cadence now, while the lower rates hold.
