Kimi Latest input pricing rises, output edges down
Kimi Latest input pricing moved from $0.475 to $0.61 per 1M tokens, an increase of roughly 28%. Output pricing went the other way, from $13.013 to $13 per 1M tokens, a negligible cut. The change is visible on the OpenRouter models endpoint.
What it means for a SaaS brand
If you run brand visibility checks or prompt monitoring through Kimi Latest, your input-heavy workloads just got more expensive, so re-check the cost of any job that stuffs long context into prompts. Output costs are effectively unchanged, so retrieval-heavy testing is where the hit lands, not generation.
