GPT-5.6 Sol Pro halves input and output token pricing
OpenAI has cut GPT-5.6 Sol Pro pricing by half on both ends. Input moves from $4 to $2 per 1M tokens, and output from $20 to $10 per 1M tokens. The change is listed on OpenRouter's models endpoint.
What it means for a SaaS brand
Cheaper frontier tokens mean more AI search products can afford to run a stronger model on every query, and to retrieve and read more pages before answering. Make sure your documentation, comparison and pricing pages are crawlable and quotable, because answers will be drawing on longer context, not just the top result.
