GLM 5.2 input pricing cut by just over half, output unchanged
Z.ai's GLM 5.2 input pricing has dropped from $0.152 to $0.0744 per 1M tokens, as listed on OpenRouter. Output pricing is unchanged at $12 per 1M tokens, so the gap between reading and generating has widened considerably.
What it means for a SaaS brand
Cheaper input makes it less costly to push large context into GLM 5.2, so retrieval-heavy pipelines that stuff in long documentation sets get more affordable. If your product docs, comparison pages and support content are well structured and crawlable, there is more chance they get pulled into context rather than being skipped for length.
