GLM 5.2 input price cut, output price raised
Z.ai has repriced GLM 5.2 on OpenRouter. Input falls from $0.38 to $0.064 per 1M tokens, while output rises from $3.49 to $8 per 1M tokens. The model is now much cheaper to feed and considerably more expensive to generate from.
What it means for a SaaS brand
If you run GLM 5.2 for brand visibility monitoring or content pipelines, the economics have flipped: long prompts and large retrieval contexts are now cheap, long generated answers are not. Rework prompts to push work into the input side and cap output length, then re-check your monthly run cost before scaling any tracking volume.
