Content Strategist
The Role
We're looking for a Content Strategist who can develop and execute content programmes that build pipeline, not just traffic. This is a 12-month contract role. B2B SaaS experience is essential — you must understand how software buyers research, evaluate, and purchase, and be able to write for a range of technical and commercial personas. You'll work with SEO Strategists and Account Managers to create buyer-focused content for B2B SaaS companies, from strategy and briefs through to editing and performance analysis.
What You'll Do
- Develop content strategies aligned to client ICPs, competitive positioning, and funnel stages
- Create detailed content briefs for writers (SEO brief, tone of voice, target persona, internal links)
- Write and edit long-form blog posts, pillar pages, whitepapers, and case study narratives
- Build and maintain editorial content calendars for multiple client accounts
- Collaborate with SEO strategists to map content to keyword clusters and search intent
- Optimise existing content for performance improvements (traffic, conversions, rankings)
- Develop content for thought leadership: LinkedIn ghostwriting, newsletters, webinar scripts
- Track content performance metrics (organic traffic, leads, engagement) and iterate
- Conduct competitor content gap analyses and audience research
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in B2B content marketing within SaaS or a SaaS-focused agency — B2B SaaS experience is essential
- Proven ability to write and edit compelling long-form content for SaaS audiences that ranks and converts
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals: keyword intent, on-page optimisation, internal linking
- Experience developing content strategies from scratch, not just execution
- Comfortable using content analytics to inform strategy adjustments
- Excellent command of English with the ability to adapt tone for different B2B audiences
Nice to Have
- Experience creating content for technical SaaS products (DevTools, FinTech, HR Tech)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted content workflows and LLM prompt engineering
- Experience with video scripting or podcast production
- Prior experience with Webflow or WordPress CMS
