The Role

We're hiring a Growth Strategist to deliver our Strategy Retainer engagements — providing senior-level GTM guidance, positioning strategy, and growth roadmaps to B2B SaaS companies from post-PMF to scale. This is a 12-month contract role and B2B SaaS experience is non-negotiable. You must have a demonstrable track record advising or leading marketing strategy at B2B software companies. You'll work directly with founders, CMOs, and marketing leaders to build the strategic clarity that makes execution compound.

What You'll Do

  • Lead strategy engagements across GTM planning, demand gen strategy, and positioning
  • Develop ICP frameworks, buyer journey maps, and messaging architectures for clients
  • Conduct marketing audits covering channels, attribution, team structure, and martech
  • Build prioritised growth roadmaps with clear ROI expectations and sequencing logic
  • Deliver go-to-market strategy for new product launches and market expansions
  • Run pricing strategy and packaging workshops for SaaS clients
  • Provide fractional CMO support on Growth and Scale retainers where required
  • Influence channel strategy across SEO, Paid, Content, and Pipeline clusters
  • Present strategies in board-ready formats for clients raising capital or reporting to investors

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS marketing strategy, GTM advisory, or fractional CMO roles — B2B SaaS experience is non-negotiable
  • Demonstrable experience building and executing demand generation programmes within B2B SaaS companies
  • Strong understanding of SaaS unit economics: CAC, LTV, NRR, ARR growth trajectories
  • Experience working with post-PMF to scale-stage SaaS companies (£1M–£50M ARR)
  • Excellent strategic thinking with the ability to simplify complexity into clear frameworks
  • Confident and credible when presenting to C-suite and board stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a specific SaaS vertical (FinTech, HR Tech, DevTools, Cybersecurity)
  • Prior experience building or leading an in-house SaaS marketing team
  • Familiarity with PLG (Product-Led Growth) and PLS (Product-Led Sales) motions
  • Professional board advisory or investor relations experience
